Fairgrounds

Designed for a remote and extraordinarily vast property in Ontario north of Toronto. Here the project was to create an all-season visiting centre for groups, or friends of the family – one that would allow overnight visiting and a base to explore the many jewels of its natural, untouched, landscape. To encourage connections to the land and climate, ribbons of screened porches and walkways create separations in the project – the sleeping wing from the main spaces – and the separate bath house on its own.
