Lighting
From the start, we have made it a point to include at least one bespoke set of light fixtures for each AGATHOM project.

Apart from the fact that this habit acts as a unique, project-specific thumbprint, it also provides a playful, sculptural distillation or summation of the character of each place.
The lights – rather than announcing themselves – tuck into the building or site in subtle ways.
They elicit joy and animate a space, but also often provide a functional role as directional guidance, useful illumination or to quietly punctuate an interesting element.
Our process follows a careful development from sketches, through to modelling.
Before fabrication, our workshop creates a full-scale mock up to ensure that the design will operate as expected.
Once satisfied, we create detailed technical drawings and work with our fabricators to complete the final lights.
The lights provide an integrated sculptural element even in broad daylight when they are not in use.
They are designed to be enjoyed from the exterior as well as within the structure; they weave, bridge and blur the two. Each design is unique to the project.
